Scheduling
Basic Skills groups are scheduled for 30 minute periods at least two times per week.
Models of operation most often include:
Pull out - Small groups meet in the Basic Skills Room
In-Class Support - The Basic Skills instructor works in the classroom with a group of identified students in the classroom on materials currently being studied by the entire class.

Identification
Students are identified for Basic Skills based on a combination of the following criteria:
-teacher recommendation
-standardized test scores (NJASK, NJPASS)
-classroom assessments
-teacher recommendation
